Raj Manglik awarded ASME 2006 Melville Medal

Professor Raj M. Manglik has been awarded the 2006 Melville Medal by the ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers), for his seminal and ground-breaking paper (co-authored with J. Zhang), "Additive Adsorption and Interfacial Characteristics of Nucleate Pool Boiling in Aqueous Surfactant Solutions,"Journal of Heat Transfer, 127(7), pp. 684-691, 2005.

The Melville Medal, which was established in 1914 by the ASME and first awarded in 1927, internationally recognizes the best original scientific contribution that has been published in an ASME Journal in the preceding two calendar years.  It covers all areas of Mechanical Engineering, and this honor is bestowed by ASME on its member(s) for outstanding contributions made toward increasing technical knowledge, improving scientific understanding, and/or achieving noteworthy engineering application.
