Abet Accreditation

ac·cred·i·ta·tion n.

The act of accrediting or the state of being accredited, especially the granting of approval to an institution of learning by an official review board after the school has met specific requirements.

The Department of Mechanical, Industrial and Nuclear Engineering offers a fully accredited undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering - BSME.  The accreditation is granted by ABET.Inc.  Our last ABET accreditation vist in 2004 resulted in a six year certification which is the longest certification that ABET Inc. grants.
