Program Educational Objectives

Within a few years of earning the baccalaureate degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Cincinnati, our graduates are expected to attain one or more of the following objectives:

  1. Our graduates will have successful professional careers in industry, graduate schools, public or federal institutions or entrepreneurial endeavors.
  2. Our graduates will assume leadership roles in shaping the contemporary technological, intellectual and business worlds.

Engineering Education Student Outcomes (a-k)
  1. an ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science and engineering
  2. an ability to design and conduct experiments, as well as to analyze and interpret data
  3. an ability to design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs
  4. an ability to function on multi-disciplinary teams
  5. an ability to identify, formulate, and solve engineering problems
  6. an understanding of professional and ethical responsibility
