7 MINE Students Selected for Summer Research Fellowships

The University Research Council (URC) has announced the Summer Graduate Student Research Fellowship Program award winners for the Summer of 2007. As defined by the URC research includes not only intellectual activity designed to expand our knowledge and understanding of people and their environment, but also activities in any of the creative and performing arts aimed at interpreting and enhancing that environment.  The program provides summer stipend support to outstanding graduate students.  The funding is provided so that the awardee may pursue scholarly activities on a full-time basis from July 1 through August 31, 2007

More than 200 applications were submitted for the University Research Council’s Summer Graduate Student Research Fellowship program. Sixty-eight students from seven UC colleges will receive stipends to support their continued work throughout the 2007 summer months.  Seven of these students are with the Department of Mechanical, Industrial and Nuclear Engineering.  Congratulations to the following students.
