Professor Randy Allemang Elected ASME Fellow

Professor Randy Allemang, an internationally recognized pioneer, innovator, and authority on experimental modal analysis and vibration measurement, has been elected to ASME Fellow grade.

His contributions have enabled the design, development, and production of automobile and truck frames and chassis to become the smoother-riding, quieter and longer-lasting vehicles on today’s highways. Using the technology developed by Professor Allemang, automobile and truck designers can readily test envisioned structures for their characteristics: stiffness, mass distribution, structural resonances, and vibratory geometrics (mode shapes). In fact, his research results have established internationally recognized procedures and standards for vibration testing, modal analysis and system parameter identification.

Congratulations to Professor Allemang.
