World's longest Nanotubes here at UC

Drs. Vesslin Shanov and Mark Schulz of the Smart Materials Nanotechnology Lab have shattered the world record length for nanotubes.  Using a specially designed wafer catalyst they are growing nanotubes measured in centimeters.

Congratulations to Drs Shannov, Schulz and all the hard working graduate students in Nano World for this phenomenal achievement.  You can read the NSF article on their accomplishment here.
