Dr. Murali Sundaram is an Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences, University Cincinnati. He has ten years of industrial experience in precision manufacturing and three years of postdoctoral research experience in micro and nano manufacturing. He is an American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) - ASME MED Manufacturing Processes Technical Committee (MPTC) member and Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME)- NAMRI/SME Scientific Committee member for 2012-2014. Dr. Sundaram is an Associate Editor of the SME's Journal of Manufacturing Processes, and is an International Editorial Review Board member of International Journal of Manufacturing, Materials and Mechanical Engineering and Int. Journal of Materials Forming and Machining Processes.

Professional Experience:

Dr. Sundaram has ten years of industrial experience (Eight years in Indian Space Research Organization and two years in Steel Authority of India Limited) in Production Planning and Control, CAD/CAM, Precision and Prototype Manufacturing, Nontraditional Machining, Metrology and Nondestructive Testing.

 Dr. Sundaram has three years of postdoctoral research experience in nano and micro-manufacturing at CNMR, University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Research Interests:

Dr. Sundaram's research interest includes Nano-Manufacturing, Additive Manufacturing, Nontraditional Machining, Micromachining, Hybrid Machining, CAD/CAM, Metrology and Process Simulation.
