Portable Assisted Mobility Device (PAMD) project to develop a portable device based on the "first mile- last mile" concept.

University of Cincinnati is actively participating in the Portable Assisted Mobility Device (PAMD) 2012-13 PACE project and is collaborating with different engineering and design schools across the world. University of Cincinnati Engineering team represents global team# 5 with other international universities including University of Cincinnati (Design), Michigan Tech University, TU Darmstadt, RWTH Aachen University. A team of 7 UC Engineering students is collaborating with other international universities to develop a portable device based on the "first mile- last mile" transportation theme. During the course of the project students will address three main aspects of vehicle development process- Design, Engineering and Manufacturing. Students will be using PACE industrial softwares (NX/ ANSYS/ LS DYNA/ MATLAB/ Teamcenter/ Siemens softwares) to perform static and dynamic validation for each component at different stages of the vehicle development process.
