Gabrielle Ackerman is a first year undergraduate student, working towards a Bachelor's degree in Statistics and Geology. Her work at UCMAN focusses on the application of statistical technique for the study of manufacturing processes.

 

 

 

Temiloluwa Adeniyi is a fourth year undergraduate student, at the University of Cincinnati, in Biomedical Engineering. Her future goals include graduate studies in Biomedical Engineering, with a focus on biomaterials. Through innovation in biomaterials, she hopes to develop lower cost medical interventions that can be made widely available to people of diverse socioeconomic backgrounds.

abishek balsamy kamarajAbishek Balsamy Kamaraj completed his Master's in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Cincinnati in October 2012. His graduate thesis focused on pulse electrochemical micromachining using cryogenic treated tungsten tools. Findings of this research has been published in 3 journal papers and an international conference paper. Abishek is now working towards his Ph.D at UCMAN.

  

 

laurenLauren Blake graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Cincinnati. She was selected to be a participant of the WISE REWU Summer Program during the summer of 2012 and designed a Nano-vibration system at the Micro and Nano Manufacturing Laboratory. Her research was presented at the ASME Dayton DESS 2012. 

 

  

 

anneAnne Brant completed her Master's in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Cincinnati in July 2016. Her graduate thesis focused on additive manufacturing. Anne is now working towards her Ph.D at UCMAN. She has previously worked as a co-op at Duke Energy, L'Oreal, and L-3 Communications. Outside of engineering, she plays banjo, guitar, and tabla with fellow musicians, and has been involved with the UC Women's rugby team.

Ryan Buffington, was an undergraduate student in the School of Dynamic Systems worked on research related to electrochemical micromachining and micro abrasive tool fabrication techniques, at UCMAN. He is currently employed as a co-op student.

 

 

 

Diana Bolton

 

 

 

 

 

 zicheng caiZicheng Cai is an international exchange student from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China. He  joined UCMAN as a student volunteer in Spring 2013 to gain undergraduate research experience. Zicheng is a Senior student majoring in mechanical engineering, Class of 2015. 

 

 

 

Anuj Dabholkar  Anuj Dabholkar completed his Master's in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Cincinnati in June 2012. His graduate thesis focused on fabrication of micrometer-sized diamond abrasive tool using  pulse-electroplating technique. This research has been documented in two journal papers and an international conference paper. Anuj is at present working for Chrysler manufacturing plant in Toledo, Ohio.

Amy Drexelius is a fourth year undergraduate student at the University of Cincinnati pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering; she hopes to eventually pursue a graduate degree as a mechanical engineer as well. She has experience in precision manufacturing from her co-op at Dayton Reliable Tool. Outside of work and school she enjoys drawing, reading, and practicing the German language.

Rachael Dyer is completed her Bachelor's in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Cincinnati.  She had been selected as part of the WISE REWU Summer Program and developed a control system for micro electrochemical machining at the Micro and Nano Manufacturing Laboratory. Her work was presented at the ASME Dayton DESS 2011.

Andrew Emery  is a second year undergraduate student studying mechanical engineering at the University of Cincinnati.

Khada Gautam is a third year Mechanical Engineering Technology student at the University of Cincinnati. He is in ASCEND program and has some experience in industrial manufacturing from his previous coop. He is a member of the American Society for Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society since 2016. He enjoys playing soccer, table tennis, guitar, and watching movies.

 

 

 

 

Michelle Hamad is a Mathematics major at the University of Cincinnati.  After acquiring her Bachelor's, she hopes to earn a Masters Degree and eventually work in Applied Mathematics collaborating with engineers.  She was a participant of the WISE REWU 2013 Summer Program where she worked on comparison of addtive manufacturing process scanning algorithms.

Guangfeng Hou completed his masters in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Cincinnati. He completed his B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from the East China University of Science and Technology, China in 2009. He spent two years in Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China, doing research related to mechanical manufacturing. His research focused on Nanomanufacturing.

 

 

 

himanshuHimanshu Ingale is currently pursuing his Master's in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Cincinnati. He received his B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from the College of Engineering and Technology Jalgaon, India in May 2010. His research focuses on Nano-manufacturing. Before joining University of Cincinnati, he worked for Patson Machines, Pune, India as Trainee engineer in the quality control department.

 Sagil James earned his PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering at University of Cincinnati in Spring 2015. His research focused on nano abrasive machining using loose abrasives. Earlier he completed his M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from University of Cincinnati (2010) and B. Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from National Institute of Technology Calicut, India (2005). Before joining University of Cincinnati, he was a Product Engineer at Larsen and Toubro Limited, Mumbai, India.

 

 

 Sumit Kumar Jui completed his Master's in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Cincinnati. He received his B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from the Maharastra Institute of Technology, Pune, India in May 2008. His research focussed on hybrid micromachining sepcifically electrochemical discharge machining. He has worked for Geometric Solutions India as a software developer specializing in Product Life-cycle Management.

 

 

  

 

Alyssa Johnson is a first year biomedical engineering student at the University of Cincinnati. Currently, she is working on additive manufacturing with a focus on biomedical applications. Outside of academics, Aly enjoys horseback riding and practicing the alto saxophone.

Nick Kelly is a third year undergraduate student, studying mechanical engineering at the University of Cincinnati. His experience includes co-op work in the machine tool industry at Makino and in the aerospace industry at StandardAero.

 

 

 

 

 Varun Sharan Kumar was a Master's in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Cincinnati. He received his B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Bangalore Institute of Technology, Bangalore, India in June 2010. His research focus was in the field of additive manufacturing. He has worked as an intern for BOSCH India Ltd. and Innervision Inc before joining the University of Cincinnati.

Ketaki Rajendra Kolhekar graduated with a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Cincinnati. She completed her Bachelor of Engineering from Vishwakarma Institute of Technology, Pune, India (2013). She worked as Graduate Engineer Trainee in Tata technologies Pvt. Ltd before coming to University of Cincinnati. She has internship experience in turbo Gears Pvt. Ltd during her undergraduate studies. Her field of research is micro electrochemical discharge machining. Outside of engineering, she likes reading and sketching

 

 

 Ahmed Lababidi completed his undergraduate degree in biology at the University of Cincinnati. He is interested in pursuing a degree in medicine. At UCMAN, Ahmed was working in a research project on Additive tissue manufacturing. Ahmed has previously done research at the Fetal Care Center at the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.

 eddy lynch Edward Lynch was  a Senior student with a focus in Environmental Engineering. He worked at Malcolm Pirnie, the water division of ARCADIS, and Cleveland Lofts LLC for his co-operative education program. Eddy dreams to design and construct 100% green infrastructures. At the Micro and Nano Manufacturing Laboratory, Eddy worked on electrochemical and abrasive micromachining processes. He is active in engineering tribunal and plays several sports in his time off.

  

 

Ronnie Mathew

 Ronnie Mathew is working as a Product Engineer at Fort Recovery Industries. He completed his Master's in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Cincinnati in March 2011. He received his B.S. from the National Institute of Technology, Surathkal, India in May 2008. His research at the micro and nano manufacturing lab focused on the study of pulsed electrochemical micro machining of ultra high aspect ratio micro tools. His research publications include a journal paper (under review) and an International conference paper (published). Apart from his research work, he has also been actively associated with the Indian Students' Association at the University of Cincinnati. More information about his research can be found here.

 

 Adam McCoy is a second year student in Mechanical Engineering considering graduate school after he completes his undergraduate education. He has previously cooped at Advics Manufacturing. Outside of research, he actively participates in Engineers Without Borders, CEAS Tribunal, and the University of Cincinnati’s chapter of American Society of Mechanical Engineers.

 

 

Marcella Miller is a second year undergraduate student at the University of Cincinnati. She is pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering and is also working towards a minor in mathematics. She plans to also pursue a graduate degree in mechanical engineering. Marcella has completed one co-op term at Magna Electronics in Auburn Hills, Michigan.

 

 shivShiv Shailendar was a Master’s student at the University of Cincinnati. He completed his Bachelors in Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Anna University, India. His research project at UCMAN was on Localized Electrochemical Deposition using Liquid Marbles. He has published 3 research papers on his topic. 

 
  

 

 

  Vincent Shaw is a third year Applied Physics/Pre-Engineering student at Xavier University. He worked in the summer of 2014, at UCMAN, as part of the SUMR-UC program on Wettability Control Through Electrochemical Surface Modification. In addition to pursuing an education in aerospace engineering, Vincent is also a member of the Xavier University Men's Soccer Team.

Hirdayesh B. Shrestha is a third year Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Cincinnati and is also in the university honors program. He has experience in industrial parts cleaning from his two co-op terms at Cleaning Technologies Group. His hobbies include playing and watching soccer, playing the guitar, Smash Bros. Kaitlyn Woods is a fourth year undergraduate student at the University of Cincinnati, in her thrid year of studying Mechanical Engineering. She is also working towards a Computer Science minor. Her career goals include working on robotics in manufacturing. She has two terms of co-op experience at Deceuninck North America.
